On January 12, the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted a ministerial consultation dedicated to the outcomes of the service-warfare operations of the Internal Troops in 2018.
 
 Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov, who opened the meeting, stated that the economic power, defense potential and international position of our country has strengthened significantly in 2018 because of successful continuation of the development and progress strategy established by the national leader Heydar Aliyev, by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev and emphasized that the President pays special attention to the army building, including the improvement of the Interior Troops' activity, further improvement of logistics, employment and living conditions.
The Minister stated that the Internal Troops have special services in the protection of independence and internal stability in our country, also emphasized active involvement of the staff in the protection of public order and public security, the fight against crime and the conduct of special operations, and that it has become a unit with high professionalism, combat and moral and psychological readiness.
 It was noted that the state leader has appreciated the work done very high. This high attention and care requires the servicemen to carry out their duties more responsibly, to ensure the stability, security, peace, human and civil rights and freedoms and never to settle down.

Deputy Interior Minister, Commander of the Internal Troops, Lieutenant-General Shahin Mammadov made a report on the results of the service-warfare operation.
The Commander of the Internal Troops highlighted that the improvement of the normative-legal base, adaptation of the training to real combat conditions, development of the material base, increase of the theoretical knowledge of the staff, encouraging the high professional practice skills, improvement of the spiritual-psychological and physical training level were main duties of the combat training for the last year.

It was also noted that, because of consecutive measures taken in the field of legality, strengthening of military discipline, observance of the rules of mutual relations between the military servicemen, the relation outside the regulations in the group was not allowed.
Last year, the work planned in the direction of improvement the personnel’s quarters and welfare conditions and adaptation to modern standards, supply of military units and units with weapons and special equipment has been successfully implemented.
Summing up the meeting, the Interior Minister highly appreciated the results of the military service of the staff in the last year, talked about the upcoming challenges, showed ways of solving them, and gave concrete instructions and recommendations.
He said further measures should be taken to improve the morale and psychological training of military servicemen, including the commitment of the personnel to the Homeland and the military at the time of committing strictly to the requirements of military regulations.

The Minister emphasized the importance of proper organization of all organizational measures in the Internal Troops this year, as well as the proper execution of service and combat missions.
Colonel-General Ramil Usubov demanded that military units be always ready for the highest level of execution of any commandments and instructions along with the police officers, including the management, organization and conduct of military service, further improvement of physical and combat training, and extreme cases.
The Minister assured the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev on behalf of the Internal Troops that the servicemen will be able to cope with the duties and tasks set by the legislation and will faithfully serve the people, the state and the President.
