On February 14th the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Commander of the Internal Troops lieutenant-general Mammadov Shahin received the Head of the Delegation of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Azerbaijan Mrs Aymone Sessera at the Head Office of the Internal Troops.

    Mrs. Aymone Sessera was accompanied by Ilaha Huseynova, the Head of the Public Relations Department at the ICRC Delegation in Azerbaijan as an interpreter.
     The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Commander of the Internal Troops lieutenant-general Mammadov Shahin conveying his sincere greetings to the guest reported that, in recent years the relations have been continuing successfully between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its integral part The Internal Troops and the ICRC Delegation in Azerbaijan. He talked over about a number of courses have been held on topics "İnternational humanitarian law", "İnternational human rights law" and "International standards of Police activity" for police officers and officers of İnternal Troops through the ICRC since 2003 and at those events participated hundreds of police officers and officers.
     Commander of the Internal Troops noted that conducted courses and seminars were useful for police officers and officers of Internal Troops, delivered to the respected guest’s attention that there was a great interest for being held such kind of activities in the future. 

    Mrs Aymone Sessera expressed deep gratitude to the  Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Commander of the Internal Troops for cordial reception and highly appreciated cooperation with ICRC. The respected guest noted that at present the cooperation relations between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its integral part The Internal Troops and the ICRC Delegation in Azerbaijan being continued very successfully and it was praiseworthy, expressed her confidence to continue the same relationship in the future. Mrs Sessera told over about courses that were going to be held next years, stressed that the activities carried out by the Internal Troops would be taken into consideration, while  The ICRC experts prepared programs on the topics of these courses.

    During the meeting Mrs. Aymone Sessera also gave detailed information on the neutral activities of the ICRC in conflict zones.
