On May 10, a swearing-in ceremony was held at Military Unit No. N of the Internal Troops, located in Baku, for newly enlisted conscripts.
The event was attended by Major General Ingilab Muradov, Deputy Commander of the Internal Troops and Head of the Personnel Department.
The ceremony began with a tribute to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and to the memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the liberation of Azerbaijani lands. The National Anthem was performed by an exemplary military band.
Having taken the military oath, the soldiers pledged to honorably defend the interests, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan — even at the cost of their own lives.
Speaking at the event, the commander of the military unit, Colonel Bahruz Kazimov, reminded the soldiers of the significance of the military oath and the honorable and serious responsibilities that come with pledging loyalty to the people of Azerbaijan, the Republic itself, and its government. He also drew attention to the relevant provisions of the Constitution that define these duties.
Following his remarks, a congratulatory message from the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs — Commander of the Internal Troops was delivered to the soldiers on the occasion of their oath-taking. The message emphasized that those who have taken the oath, like all members of the Internal Troops, bear personal responsibility for fulfilling every task set forth by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
It was also noted that the care and attention devoted to strengthening and empowering the Internal Troops serve as a source of motivation for every young servicemember to fulfill their duties with commitment. The message underlined that by vowing to safeguard the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Republic as their most sacred duty, each soldier must fully understand the true meaning and weight of this solemn oath.
The congratulatory message also highlighted the dedication and distinguished service of the Internal Troops personnel during the 44-day Patriotic War and in anti-terrorism operations. It expressed confidence that every servicemember joining the ranks will remain loyal to the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the military oath, and the regulations, and will succeed in defending and strengthening our statehood.
Speakers warmly congratulated the soldiers on this solemn occasion, urging them to be brave and disciplined, to diligently study their military duties, and to always be ready to defend the homeland. The ceremony was concluded with a formal march of the personnel.
It is worth noting that the oath-taking ceremony was also held in three other military units of the Internal Troops.
