On July 8, The Main Department of Internal Troops held a meeting of the Military Council dedicated to the “Results of
combat service activities of the Internal Troops in the first half of 2022” in the format of a video conference.
Chairman of the Military Council, Deputy minister of Internal Affairs - Commander of the Internal Troops Lieutenant-General Shahin Mammadov made an opening speech at the meeting and noted that over the past period, the execution of the combat service tasks set by the Internal Troops has been provided.
After Lieutenant-General Shahin Mammadov announced the agenda of the meeting, the First Deputy Commad of the Internal Troops - Chief of Staff Major General Tofig Huseynov made a report.
It was stated in the report that, the personnel of the Internal Troops, who have special services in protecting the independence and internal stability of our country, during the first half of 2022 actively participated in ensuring public security and maintaining public order, fighting against crime, demonstrated high professionalism, combat and moral-psychological training by fully ensuring the implementation of the assigned tasks.
The implementation of the tasks set was carried out on the provision of security in liberated territories from occupation by personnel of the troops together with police officers, protection of vital life-supporting facilities, prevention of terror, sabotage and other illegal activities, application of a special regime of entry and exit and fulfillment of other important tasks.
Also, the tasks set by the personnel involved in the maintenance of public order and public safety during the important international events, “Technofest Azerbaijan” Aerospace and Technology Festival, “Formula-1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix” race, as well as the football games, were carried out with high professionalism and in full.
The sappers of the Internal Troops have successfully completed the combat service tasks set for clearing the liberated territories from the remnants of mines and ammunition. The activities of sappers during international sporting events were satisfactory.
In addition, combat training was recognized as a priority in daily service activities. Thus, in order to increase the field experience of military personnel, to ensure their individual skills and joint activities, the personnel were involved in field exercises, shooting exercises, methodological training camps were organized and held with qualified military personnel. Within half a year, the combat readiness of the personnel was regularly checked.
Over the past period, educational work with the personnel has been aimed at strengthening legality and military discipline, preventing injuries and extra-statutory relations, providing personal example of commanders and Chiefs, creating a healthy moral and psychological environment in collectives, increasing the knowledge of military personnel on socio-political training. For this purpose, the state of military discipline and the measures of educational work carried out in the troops were taken under control, relevant instructions and recommendations were given in this direction.
At the same time, measures related to the strengthening of the material and technical base in the Internal Troops
were continued in sequence, the barracks and living conditions of the personnel were adapted to modern standards, the necessary needs of military personnel were met in accordance with the standards of provision, the purchase of the required technique and equipment was carried out. The main directions of the material and technical support of the troops are aimed at providing the military units with the means required for the implementation of the tasks ahead, especially in the liberated territories and combat service missions.
At the end of his speech, the reporter said that the personnel of the Internal Troops will always be ready for the fulfillment of the tasks set, the military units and units will always be kept high in combat readiness, the professional training of military personnel will be increased, and the creation of a healthy moral and psychological environment will be ensured.
