On January 12, the Military Board of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs held a meeting on the "Results of Service-Warfare in the Internal Troops in 2018".
The Chairman of the Military Board, Deputy Interior Minister, Commander of the Internal Troops, Lieutenant-General Shahin Mammadov said that in 2018, the staff has demonstrated a high level of combat training in the protection of the public order, provision of public security, and implementation of the special operations on crime prevention during the international sport and public events on the basis of demands and directions of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov.
It was noted that in 2018, the requirements of the Training Directive were fulfilled with a full and qualitative performance of commander, specialist, fire and physical training of military servicemen, thereby increasing the combat readiness of the units and divisions, theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the staff, improvement of the professional habits has been achieved. Development of the material-technical base was one of the priority issues.
At the same time, the personnel training is aimed at strengthening legality and military discipline, preventing incidents and extrajudicial relationships, ensuring the personal example of commander and chiefs, establishing healthy moral and psychological environment in the collective and increasing awareness of public-political training of military servicemen. For this purpose, the military discipline of the troops and measures taken in the army were monitored and appropriate instructions and recommendations were given in this regard.
In 2018, the measures to strengthen the material and technical base of the Internal Troops were continued, the quarters-welfare conditions were adapted to the modern standards, the necessary conditions of the servicemen were met in compliance with the norms of the warranty, purchase of the required equipment and machine were carried out. The main directions of the logistics of the troops are aimed at ensuring the military units by means necessary for the fulfillment of the tasks and service-combat missions.
To improve the living conditions of servicemen, military and household facilities were repaired in many military units, provided with necessary equipment and re-commissioned.
Later, reports of some military unit commanders and their deputy officers on military training were heard.
At the end of the event Deputy Interior Minister, Commander of Internal Troops, Lieutenant-General Sh.Mammadov assured that Internal Troops would always be ready for the fulfillment of the tasks assigned to them, the constant maintenance of military units and divisions combat training, increase of professional training of military servicemen, psychological environment will be ensured.
In response to the attention and care of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, he expressed confidence that the duties of the Minister of Internal Affairs will continue to be consistent, and together with the officers of the police will stabilize the stability and public order in the country.
