On June 21, a solemn ceremony dedicated to the graduation of the 2023-2024 academic year was held at the Military Institute of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The event was attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov.

At the beginning, the event participants paid tribute to the bright memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as the military personnel and police officers who gave their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country while performing the combat missions. Then the national anthem of Azerbaijan was sounded.

Deputy Minister, Commander of the Internal Troops, Lieutenant General Shahin Mammadov noted that the graduation ceremony is one of the significant events for the Military Institute, and also made a report on the progress of the educational institution, the work done to strengthen the material, technical and educational basis and the upcoming tasks.

Then the rector of the Military Institute, Major General Elchin Mammadov made a speech. He assured the Minister of Internal Affairs V. Eyvazov that the Institute personnel will spare neither knowledge nor skills, will work tirelessly to further improve the educational process, meet fully and at a high level the requirements, orders and instructions related to the training of qualified personnel meeting the challenges of our time.

Speaking to the young officers, Minister Vilayat Eyvazov noted that thanks to the special attention and care of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev, today the Internal Troops can adequately conduct any combat mission. The improvement of military training of the troops has always been controlled by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, many important decisions have been made in the field of providing them with cutting edge weapons and equipment, strengthening the social welfare of personnel.

The Minister also noted that by Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated on May 22, 2024, the Higher Military School of Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was renamed as the Military Institute of Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It was emphasized that the construction works and reforms carried out in our country contributed to the development of the Military Institute on an equal basis with the military units of the Internal Troops.

The Minister of Internal Affairs emphasized the role of the Turkish Armed Forces, including the Gendarmerie General Command, in forming the professional personnel core of the troops, expressed gratitude for the high-level military training of the personnel.

Colonel-General V. Eyvazov noted that in the Patriotic War, resulted in a great Victory under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, the servicemen of the Internal Troops plumbed the depths of heroism and patriotism on the front line. He stressed that the graduates of the Military Institute being among them is a clear confirmation of the purposeful activities of this educational institution to bring up cadets in the spirit of loyalty to the state, the people and the military oath.

Noting that a new era has started for the graduates, the Minister of Internal Affairs congratulated the young officers and their loved ones on the successful completion of the Military Institute, expressed gratitude to the leadership and staff of this educational institution, training professional personnel for the Internal Troops, and wished them success.

Minister V.Eyvazov expressed confidence that the personnel of the internal affairs bodies and Internal Troops will continue to faithfully serve the people and the state, and will make every effort to properly fulfill their tasks.

At the end of the event, the Minister of Internal Affairs presented diplomas to the honor graduates of the Military Institute and those graduating with the special rank of "senior lieutenant".
