One of the positive traditions formed recently in the Internal Troops is the regular meeting of the Internal Troops Commander with the veterans. These meetings are a manifestation of care and attention to the veterans. Sensitive approach to their problems, assistance in solving the issues they are facing, using their knowledge and experience is the factor that strengthens moral commitment of veterans. It is noteworthy that veterans are closely interested with the lives of the troops, and are actively involved in the military-patriotic education of the personnel. Moreover, the decent contribution of our veterans to the increase of the public authority of the Internal Troops in the society should be a positive example. Taking all these into account, special attention is paid to the cooperation of veterans with the troops.
On December 22, there was regular meeting of the Deputy Interior Minister, Commander of Internal Troops, Lieutenant-General Shahin Mammadov with veterans of the troops in the military unit No. 25031. The Commander of the Internal Troops welcomed veterans and expressed his satisfaction with each meeting. He also said that, he also supported the initiative of the Veterans Council to hold a large-scale meeting, along with the presentation of certificates of the Armed Forces veteran. He noted that they will continue to issue the certificates of the Armed Forces veteran. He emphasized that the work was carried out primarily and rapidly in the Internal Troops and included reserve officers.
Later, Lieutenant-General Sh. Mammadov presented the certificates of the Armed Forces veteran in accordance with the order. He congratulated the veterans for the certificates and expressed them his good wishes. He noted that it is a great honor to bear the name of the Armed Forces veteran, in general, a veteran. Veterans are always excited and glad for the attention and care of the President of the Republic, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The Minister of Interior Affairs, Colonel General Ramil Usubov always keeps the issues related with the veterans in the spotlight.

Today, all the tasks faced by the personnel are met with persistence, the patriotism and professionalism of our military servicemen are at a high level and they are able to cope with the tasks they are facing.
The spiritual-psychological situation in military units is satisfactory, and serious consideration is given to maintaining and strengthening discipline. The involvement of veterans in the training of the staff is ensured. Highly appreciating this, the Lieutenant-General Sh. Mammadov said that he gave the instructions to the commands of the military units to effectively utilize the knowledge and experience of the veterans and mentioned the importance of preserving and developing veterans' relation with the military units.
Lieutenant-General Sh. Mammadov touched upon a number of issues related to the life of the troops, spoke about the achievements and challenges faced in various areas of service.
The Internal Troops Commander also informed the veterans of the work done to improve the activities of the Higher Military School of Internal Troops. He announced that the new specialty was applied according to the appointment in the Higher Military School. He shared his views on how these innovations will play a role in the training of officers.
Then Lieutenant-General Sh. Mammadov listened to the veterans' requests and gave relevant instructions to the relevant officials about the issues raised by the veterans.
